Shenzhen China, October 20, 2017-- HARMAN International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung focused on connected technologies company for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, held a grand opening ceremony, celebrating the relocation of HARMAN Technology (Shenzhen) office to CMP Plaza, Shenzhen.

Dinesh C. Paliwal, President & CEO of HARMAN joined with other HARMAN global and China management teams at the opening ceremony.

Established in 2005, HARMAN Shenzhen is an important design and business hub for HARMAN in South China. Covering 11,700 square meters, the new office in CMP Plaza will be responsible for the R&D of Consumer Audio products, and Professional Solutions, and also sales of Connected Car business. At the same time, it will host corporate functions such as HR, Finance, Procurement, and IT.

Solid Local Footprint for HARMAN Global Business

China’s consumer electronics products market share is enjoying steady yearly growth, and the southern China area has become the country’s most dynamic and important electronics manufacturing base. With the expansion of HARMAN China’s business frontier, HARMAN Shenzhen gradually hosts more and more functions to integrate with the global business, for instance, Consumer Acoustics Engineering moved to Shenzhen in 2011; later on, Design Center, Consumer AKG engineering, Embedded Audio Business Unit, Consumer Headphone Business Unit successively moved here; Professional Engineering China for Global also moved to Shenzhen last year. It continues to attract a growing number of talents from home and abroad.
