As we prepare to announce our latest innovations at IFA, the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics, it is an honor to share the recognition and achievements received in the past 12 months. HARMAN's Lifestyle Audio division continues to prove it’s leadership role in product design, winning 42 awards for 38 unique products. JBL Pulse 3 Bluetooth speaker, N60 Wireless headphones and the big and bassy JBL Boombox to name a few, won the technology industry’s top design and innovation awards.

The 42 awards include 13 Red Dot Product Design wins, 3 Red Dot Product Communication wins, 8 iF Design wins, 8 CES Innovation wins, 8 Red Star wins, and 2 EISA wins.

The innovative character of HARMAN’s talented designers and engineers shines through with the 42 coveted awards. The recognition underscores HARMAN’s perpetual goal of introducing breakthrough designs with the world’s greatest sound quality. Excellent performance, innovation, advanced technology, and perfect styling are hallmarks of HARMAN products. 

So what does it take to create an award-winning product? Here’s a closer look at the award winners:

Red Dot Awards

Founded in 1955, Red Dot praised HARMAN with 16 awards, including  JBL E55BT headphones, AKG N60 Wireless headphones and the Harman Kardon Traveler speaker.

iF Design Awards

Judged by a panel of over sixty renowned experts in design, industry and architecture, honors were given to the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3 speaker, the JBL Connect App and the Infinity Reference Flex subwoofer, among six other products.

CES Innovation Awards

Awarded at the annual Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, HARMAN winners in 2017 included JBL BassPro Go speaker and  JBL Cruise handlebar-mounted speakers as well as six other products.

Red Star Design Awards

Established as a means of promoting the design industry and encouraging creativity, the Red Star Design Awards recognized HARMAN products with stand-out design. JBL Clip 2 portable speaker,  Reflect Aware C sport earphones and the JBL SB150 soundbar were all winners.

EISA Awards

The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) is Europe's largest organization of experts in multimedia technologies and offers a unique, global viewpoint on the European consumer electronics market. EISA Award winners, include the JBL Boombox in the European Mobile Speaker category, and JBL Everest Elite 750NC in the European Mobile Headphones category.

These 42 awards add to more than 250 awards won by HARMAN brands globally over the past five years for over 150 unique products. This is evidence HARMAN’s innovative character, audio quality and breakthrough design, and contributes to HARMAN’s status as the #1 audio award winner.
