Featuring 12 high-performance loudspeakers powered by a 700 watt, 16-channel Ethernet amplifier the Harman Kardon premium sound system in the new Volkswagen Arteon and Volkswagen Arteon Shooting Brake offers perfectly balanced music reproduction across the frequency spectrum, with crystal-clear treble and deep, rich bass. Whether occupants are enjoying music or spoken word content like audiobooks or podcasts, the sound is consistently clear and remarkably natural.
Four sound settings, unlimited listening experiences
In order to give listeners a truly personalized experience, the Harman Kardon premium sound system offers four sound settings – Pure, Chill Out, Live and Energy – that users can adjust to reflect their listening preferences and make the moment theirs. And with its beautiful, authentic, functional design, the audio system looks just as good as it sounds. Its unique speaker grills are accentuated with a 60° etched design pattern, inspired by Harman Kardon logo’s iconic oblique symbol and made of ultra-thin 0.5 mm steel for the ultimate acoustic performance. The letters of the logo itself are laser engraved in 3D to create a carefully designed silver reflection.
Additionally, Fraunhofer IIS's Sonamic Panorama algorithm brings further spatiality to the listening experience by separating the individual sound sources from a stereo recording and evenly distributing them in a U-shaped soundstage that surrounds the driver and passengers. The result is exceptionally detailed, artifact-free sound that allows everyone to appreciate the kind of musical details that would otherwise be imperceptible.
