CES 2019 was a resounding success for HARMAN, resulting in seven Innovation Awards for some of HARMAN’s latest adaptive and connected audio products. The award winners include:
- JBL Endurance DIVE, wireless sports headphones with MP3 player
- Under Armour Sport Wireless Pivot, secure-fitting wireless sport earphones with JBL sound and technology
- Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 5, a wireless speaker featuring wireless dual sound
- Harman Kardon Esquire Mini 2, an ultra-slim and portable premium BlueTooth speaker
- JBL Link Drive, a plug and play device featuring Google Voice Assistant
- Lexicon RV-9 Class G Immersive Surround Sound Audio/Video Receiver
- Mark Levinson 5000 Series, No5802 and No5805 integrated amplifiers
Each year, the CES Innovation Awards celebrate outstanding product design and engineering in brand-new consumer technology products with two levels of honorees across 28 product categories. In each product category, a three-member judging team comprising an independent industrial designer, an independent engineer, and a member of the trade press assigns a numerical value according to five criteria. The criteria include engineering qualities, aesthetic qualities, and unique or novel features. The scores are then combined, resulting in a cumulative score for each product. A baseline value is derived from the cumulative scores in each category, and all scores above the baseline are designated as Honorees.
