If there’s one message at HARMAN that bears repeating, it’s that our people have always been our organization’s greatest asset. To that end, we are committed to not only developing the talents and expertise of our current employees, but also to strengthening and growing our teams with the best and brightest in the industry. This undeniable focus on our teams is reflected in one of our key strategic pillars, “Winning Through People.”
At HARMAN, we are dedicated to cultivating a team that reflects the diverse world we live in. After all, studies have shown time and again the impact of diversity and inclusion on innovation: when teams are diverse and people feel supported to share their unique ideas and perspectives, teams are able to turn their game-changing ideas into meaningful results. As we continue to grow our business and innovation globally – while being in one of the most transformative periods in recent history – we’re always looking for senior leaders who can strengthen our strategy, leadership, and organization. We are pleased to introduce two new executives who will do just that: Tamika Frimpong and Carolin Reichert.
Tamika Frimpong, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer
An experienced legal and business executive attorney with demonstrated success leading legal processes, Tamika joined our team this fall to serve as a highly-trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Committee on a broad range of legal matters. With her areas of expertise include Compliance, Litigation, Data Privacy, M&A and Due Diligence, as well as ESG functions, Tamika’s goal is to foster a “compliance culture” at HARMAN and ensure our organization has the necessary policies, procedures, and governance protocols to remain in compliance with US and international laws.
Most recently, Tamika served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for the $15 billion-automotive supplier BorgWarner, Inc. She also previously held increasingly senior roles at companies including TCF Bank, Nexteer, and Mobex Global, where she held the joint roles of General Counsel and Chief Human Resources Officer.
Carolin Reichert, Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and M&A
Carolin is a senior and highly-networked executive with over 25 years of experience across the automotive, technology, and energy industries. Prior to joining our team this month, she served as Vice President of Connected Mobility Solutions division at Robert Bosch and also held senior roles in consulting, strategic planning, and business leadership for companies such as Roland Berger, Infineon, RWE, PSA, and Jaguar Land Rover.
Her extensive experience is critical to her new role leading the corporate strategy function for HARMAN, where she will be instrumental in tracking and measuring progress to ensure we achieve our long-term goals, as well as helping to define and lead new partnerships, collaborations, and acquisition targets to supplement our growth initiatives.
We are very excited that Tamika and Carolin have joined the HARMAN family – they have already made an impact and we look forward to their continued contributions to the team. It has always been our belief that a successful company is one that brings together unique points of view. As we continue to strengthen and build our team, we remain dedicated to seeking out the most highly-skilled, ambitious, and diverse leaders to join us and bring their fresh perspectives and energies to HARMAN.
