JBL® Introduces 4K-Ready Cinema SB450 Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer

Amplify the 4K ultra-HD revolution with the ultimate listening experience only JBL can deliver

CES 2017, Las Vegas – January 4, 2017 – HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE:HAR), the premier connected technologies company for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, today announced the JBL Cinema SB450, a 2.1 soundbar with a wireless subwoofer designed to complement the latest 4K ultra-High-Definition (HD) video devices.

JBL’s newest soundbar works seamlessly with 4K displays and devices (HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2) and features high dynamic range for extraordinary JBL audio performance. The JBL Cinema SB450 fills any room with theatre-quality sound and music, enhancing the listening experience through the use of HARMAN Display Surround sound and Dolby Digital decoding.

Whether binge-watching the latest must-see shows or cheering along to live sports, the JBL Cinema SB450 provides TV viewers with powerful bass without comprising sound quality through its wireless 8-inch 100W wireless subwoofer. Movie lovers can enjoy clear dialogue and voice enhancements for crisp, clean sound during films without having to adjust volume. JBL enthusiasts looking for virtual surround sound can also build a powerful sound ecosystem to amplify the listening experience by connecting JBL Connect-enabled speakers together over Bluetooth.

Stay connected by linking multiple devices to the soundbar through three HDMI inputs, while one HDMI output (ARC) seamlessly connects to the TV. Engineered to make life simpler, automatically switch between television audio and a phone or tablet audio when connected to Bluetooth, through JBL SoundShift™.

The JBL Cinema SB450 is sleek, simple, and easy to use. Its understated look and feel allows for the soundbar and subwoofer to tastefully blend into any existing home theatre. With the TV remote control learning feature, users are able to program the soundbar to accept signals from their existing TV remote, eliminating the need for multiple controllers.

“As 4K televisions become more of an accessible technology, it’s important that we add devices within the JBL Soundbar family for early adopters and technology enthusiasts,” says Sean Barton, manager, Global Product Line Connected Home, HARMAN. “The exceptional audio quality and ease of use inherent in this soundbar create an unparalleled home theatre experience to pair with new-age, sharper televisions.”
