"We have found a perfect fit in megastar Jennifer Lopez to be a global ambassador for Harman Kardon's Beautiful Sound message," said Dinesh C. Paliwal, Chairman, President and CEO of HARMAN. "She personifies beauty, elegance, and style, and consistently delivers outstanding musical performances. The Harman Kardon name is synonymous with incredible sound and attractive design, and we are delighted that Ms. Lopez will help us share that message."
In the first ad for Beautiful Sound -- directed by filmmaker Martin Campbell, best known for his work on the James Bond thriller Casino Royale -- Ms. Lopez introduces the Harman Kardon BDS audio/video home entertainment system with 3D Blu-ray. Simple to set up and operate, the Harman Kardon BDS system is designed to sleekly match today's flat-screen television systems. The new Harman Kardon BDS series can reproduce movies and music from virtually any source with all the clarity and fidelity of the original material, immersing the listener in a 5.1-channel surround sound experience. Each BDS system automatically measures and calibrates itself to deliver the best audio performance in any given acoustic environment. All of the systems within the BDS range offer Blu-ray Disc playback with BD-Live compatibility, delivering pristine high-definition 1080p picture quality. Video and audio performance is exemplary from the wide variety of supported input sources that includes TV, Blu-ray Disc, DVD, CD, radio, and USB, and can even play content from your iPhone or iPod through the Harman Kardon The Bridge III dock.
The agreement with Ms. Lopez continues a year of notable artist signings for HARMAN. Earlier, it launched the "Hear the Truth" brand campaign for JBL, with ads featuring Maroon 5 and international superstar AR Rahman. Additional prominent artist agreements will be announced in 2012.
