Bringing Connectivity to the Next Level at EcoMotion 2021
In June, HARMAN’s Senior Director, Head of Product and Business Development, OTA and Cyber, Hadas Topor Cohen participated in a panel discussion focused on the power of 5G, the opportunity to expand cellular vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology, and the impact these technologies will have on driver, passenger, and pedestrian safety. With our sights set on the future, Hadas stressed the fact that the most important digital device won’t be in our pockets in 10 years, it will be in our driveways.

Our General Manager, OTA and Cybersecurity, Michael Geva also took to the virtual stage at EcoMotion, sharing an exclusive presentation on taking a proof-of-concept (POC) from idea to millions of units of production, in a session titled, “From POC to a Million Dollar Deal.” During the workshop audience members examined product development through both a business and a legal lens to determine what exactly makes a good POC.

Achieving Award-Winning Success
Last year, in the face of significant global supply chain volatility as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, HARMAN relied on our Analytics team for rapid analytics empowerment, insights, and outcomes to help solve some of the organizations’ most pressing challenges. By addressing challenges swiftly, providing deeper visibility into business developments in real time, and leveraging insights from data analytics, our Analytics Team was able to successfully address the immediate challenges and risks that COVID-19 introduced to our workforce, suppliers, manufacturing plants, and customers. In recognition of their hard work and dedication, HARMAN’s Analytics team was named to the Drexel LeBow Analytics 50, an annual award that recognizes organizations using analytics to solve business challenges presented by Drexel University LeBow College of Business.

This summer, our Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) team took home three NASSCOM Engineering & Innovation Excellence Awards at the Engineering R&D Showcase in India. Selected by a jury of industry experts, HARMAN Amplify, the first AI-powered Smart Femto cell solution, was recognized as the Next-Gen Product of the Year, our Connected Life Safety services received the Service Delivery Excellence of the Year award, and AccuAlertMe, our social distancing enablement platform, was named the Social Impact Solution of the Year.

Last but certainly not least, our very own Chris Ludwig, Vice President of the EPIC Experience Team at HARMAN, received the Automotive Hall of Fame’s 2021 Industry Influencer Award! During the awards ceremony this month, Chris was recognized for his work driving the vision and execution of the total in-car experience through sound, technology and design – including his work on AKG branded audio systems with Cadillac and advanced functionality subsystems in vehicles.
