CES 2018 - LAS VEGAS, NV – January 8, 2018 – HARMAN International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. focused on connected technologies for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, today announced several major Immersive Surround Sound AV Receivers and Processors from Lexicon. The new Lexicon RV-6 and RV-9 Immersive Surround Sound AV receivers and the Lexicon MC-10 Immersive Surround Sound AV Processor have been designed to bring outstanding audio and video quality to residential cinemas. Featuring DOLBY ATMOS® and DTS:X 3D surround sound processing, Dirac room Live EQ, the Logic7 Immersion™ up mixer, and plenty of responsive power, the receivers and processor deliver a sensory-rich and truly immersive experience.

The Lexicon RV-6 and RV-9 were designed to ensure that the most important components of a premium AV system deliver uncompromised performance. Superfluous connections and features were eliminated and resources focused on maintaining best-in-class audio and video signal integrity and processing, as well as best-in-class amplification on all channels, all the time, even with the most demanding program material. The video and audio stages are designed for current and upcoming technologies; HDMI2.0a with HDCP2.2 4K Ultra HD and 3D video capability are built in as well as Dolby Vision™ compatibility.

“Lexicon has a rich history in professional digital audio processing, and is found in the vast majority of world class recording studios," said Jim Garrett, Senior Director, Product Strategy and Planning, HARMAN Luxury Audio. "This Grammy winning pedigree is evident in the RV-6, RV-9 and MC-10 with proprietary Logic7 Immersion up mixer, which allows stereo and multi-channel source material to envelop the listener with a rich and natural three-dimensional sound taking full advantage of height speakers."

The Lexicon RV-6 and RV-9 leverage the 24bit /192k Cirrus CS42528 for A/D and D/A conversion, which boasts 114dB dynamic range and -100 THD+N in and out. The analog circuitry on the input and output stages are also optimized for unequalled dynamic range, ultra-low distortion, and unmatched audio clarity

HARMAN proprietary Logic7 Immersion up mixer allows stereo and multi-channel content to envelop the listener with a rich and natural three-dimensional sound. Flexible configuration, Spotify Connect, and a zone 2 with audio, 4K video, IR control, triggers and power option make the RV6 and RV-9 excellent choices for a broad range of applications.

With 12 channels of decoding and 7 channels of amplification, independent zone 2 video and triggers, the RV-6 and RV-9 can be easily configured for a variety of systems.

Dolby Vision™ is superior HDR. Using the same underlying technology as the most advanced movie theatres, Dolby Vision enables an enhanced image through superior content and smarter TV display performance. And because Dolby Vision is the preferred HDR technology for major studios, creatives, and OTT service providers, it gives users access to more of the shows and movies they want to watch in HDR.
