NEW YORK – Building on a busy year of new automotive technology introductions, HARMAN, the premium global audio, visual, infotainment and enterprise automation group (NYSE:HAR), will have a strong presence at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. From the company’s Clari-Fi™ digital music restoration technology to its next-generation QuantumLogic™ Surround Sound – HARMAN technology and solutions will be showcased in a host of new vehicles debuting at the show, highlighting HARMAN’s longstanding automotive partnerships and unmatched industry–leading innovations.

A New Level of Surround Sound
QuantumLogic Surround is a proprietary algorithm from HARMAN that takes a next generation approach to surround sound; extracting signal streams from the original recording and redistributing them into a precise, authentic, multidimensional soundstage. Reflecting years of research into the science of sound perception and advanced signal processing along with an intimate knowledge and expertise in acoustics, recording and playback technologies, the result is an incredibly immersive playback that is clear, refined and detailed. Debuting at NYIAS, the all new 2016 Kia Optima is the first-ever mid-sized sedan to offer QuantumLogic Surround.

Hear What’s Been Missing from Compressed Music Files
Many audio details originally recorded in a music track can be lost in the compression process; HARMAN’s patented technology Clari-Fi works automatically in real-time to rebuild audio details lost in the digital compressed music. Clari-Fi intelligently and seamlessly reconstructs digitally compressed music files for an enhanced listening experience regardless of the source. Lexus was the first automaker to offer Clari-Fi technology to its customers; this year, they added another Clari-Fi equipped vehicle to their line-up with the launch of the all new 2016 RX.

HARMAN works closely with all of its automotive partners to ensure that each HARMAN premium audio system is specially designed and tuned to provide the best-in-class audio for any vehicle category or price point. Debuting vehicles featuring HARMAN branded premium audio systems include:

Infinity Premium Audio in the 2016 Kia Optima
With 14 available speakers in 10 locations and 630 watts of power, the all-new Optima arrives with Infinity Premium Audio equipped with next-generation QuantumLogic Surround and Clari-Fi music restoration technologies.

Mark Levinson Audio in the 2016 Lexus RX
Equipped with Clari-Fi technology, the 2016 Lexus RX comes with a Mark Levinson audio system with strategically placed 15 speakers.

Revel Premium Audio in the 2016 Lincoln Continental Concept
Lincoln unveiled the Continental concept vehicle with available Revel Premium Audio. The Continental is the next milestone in the Lincoln and Revel 10-year exclusive collaboration. Announced earlier this year, the Lincoln MKX is the first-ever vehicle to offer Revel audio.
