STAMFORD, Connecticut – HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE:HAR), the premium global audio and infotainment group, today announced that effective November 4, Paula Davis will serve as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications, reporting to Harman Chairman, President and CEO Dinesh C. Paliwal. She will have responsibility for global communications, corporate social responsibility, community relations and change management.

“Paula brings to Harman a unique blend of experience and expertise in corporate communications and sustainability, having led these efforts for other premier consumer and business-to-business companies. Ms. Davis is currently president of Alcoa Foundation, one of the largest U.S. corporate foundations with assets of approximately $460 million. Prior to that, she led corporate communications for Pepsi Bottling Group from 2007 to 2010. She has served in corporate communications roles of increasing responsibility at Siemens Corporation, MVP.com, Sears, Roebuck and Co. and Sara Lee Corporation.

Ms. Davis was recognized by Profiles in Diversity Journal as a “Woman Worth Watching in 2012” and was named a 2011-2012 David Rockefeller Fellow by the Partnership for New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Business Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Ms. Davis will be based at Harman’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
