LOS ANGELES, CA – HARMAN (NYSE: HAR), the premier global audio and infotainment group, is making its mark at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show with several leading automakers debuting vehicles that feature HARMAN branded audio systems. With brands like Harman Kardon, JBL, Infinity, Mark Levinson and Lexicon, HARMAN technology and solutions can be found on automaker stands throughout the show -- a reflection of the company’s strong, longstanding automotive OEM partnerships and industry-leading audio innovation.

On the innovation front, HARMAN’s Clari-Fi™ technology is expanding to new vehicle models with the launch of the 2016 Kia Sorento compact SUV. An exclusive, patented HARMAN technology, which leverages HARMAN’s experience in music recording, signal processing, and psycho-acoustics, Clari-Fi automatically analyzes and improves the audio quality of all types of compressed, digitalized music sources, reconstructing the information lost during the compression process. This includes identifying which music files have been compressed and the type of reconstruction required to restore the full listening experience. Clari-Fi is currently available in Lexus RC and NX vehicles, along with a range of home audio and multimedia products from HARMAN, HTC and Sharp. Clari-Fi will continue to be incorporated into new home, multimedia, and automotive audio offerings throughout the coming year.

HARMAN works closely with all of its automotive partners to ensure that each HARMAN premium audio system is specially designed and tuned to provide the best-in-class audio for any vehicle category or price point. Debuting vehicles at the show featuring HARMAN branded premium audio systems include:

BMW X5M and X6M

World-debut vehicles at the LA Auto Show, the all-new X5M and X6M from BMW combine M-typical performance with the flexibility of an X model.
