TURIN, ITALY – HARMAN, the premium global audio and infotainment group (NYSE:HAR), has announced that it will be opening a new office in Turin, Italy, on July 2, 2014 that will also serve as a regional sales office. Turin is of particular strategic importance to the company due to HARMAN’s close relationship with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and its leading brands Jeep, Maserati, Ferrari and Fiat. By opening its own office at Corso Unione Sovietica 612 in Turin, HARMAN is now looking forward to not only being able to test its products locally, but also work more closely with the engineers at Fiat on developing state-of-the-art audio and infotainment systems for the European market that consumers will love.
“HARMAN and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have been working together very successfully for many years now. Therefore, we feel that the time has come to pay tribute to one of our most important global customers by opening a new office in their immediate vicinity. We are certain that this move will help us to take our relationship to the next level and are really looking forward to developing more outstanding new products together with Fiat,” explains Sachin Lawande, president, HARMAN Infotainment Division.
HARMAN will be celebrating the opening of its new office together with Fiat employees on July 2. Many examples of its latest products and technologies will be on display, including the next-generation scalable infotainment platform and HARMAN’s class-leading “Aha Services.” Furthermore, there will also be four demonstrator vehicles to showcase the latest in-car sound and infotainment in perfect harmony with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles vehicles. Last, but not least, HARMAN’s guests will have the chance to experience the unparalleled, premium sound of Bowers & Wilkins in a Maserati Quattroporte and take a look into the not-so-distant future with one of the highlights of this year’s Geneva Motor Show – the Rinspeed XchangE concept car packed with HARMAN technology for the mobility of tomorrow.
