Beijing International Automotive Exhibition 2012 – HARMAN, the premium global audio and infotainment group (NYSE:HAR), today announced that China’s BAIC Motors has chosen HARMAN to provide branded premium audio and infotainment systems for the automaker’s new full-sized luxury sedan. The agreement is HARMAN’s first with BAIC.

Entering the market in 2013, the new full size luxury sedan from BAIC Motors will offer a JBL-branded, 13-speaker audio system with seven channels of 5.1 surround sound and feature Harman’s next-generation infotainment platform. HARMAN and BAIC Motors will work closely together on the development of an advanced infotainment solution that fully meets the unique requirements of the Chinese market, and can be adapted for future new vehicles.
