CES 2015, LAS VEGAS – HARMAN, the premium global audio, visual, infotainment and enterprise automation group (NYSE:HAR), introduced today at CES 2015 the Infinity® BassLink SM, the latest subwoofer in the BassLink line. The compact under seat subwoofer is designed to reinforce the low-end bass performance in vehicles and put the richness back into the music.
The Infinity BassLink SM is designed specifically for car owners who are hoping to upgrade the low-end bass performance in their car from good to exceptional – and to do it at an attractive price. This compact, long excursion, 8-inch subwoofer provides a tactile punch and low-end bass while fitting directly underneath or behind a car’s seat for stealth install. Its cutting edge cosmetic design provides a familiar look to other Infinity amplifiers. The Class D 80W amplification included in the BassLink system allows for more power to be extracted from the car’s charging system to be converted into output for the speaker, limiting the amount that is wasted as heat.
“A subwoofer system is more than just a great speaker – the amplifier, enclosure and speaker need to work together to create great bass – and the new Infinity BassLink SM does just that,” said David Slump, president, HARMAN Automotive Services. “Though this sub is diminutive in size, we would never settle for small performance, so this small sub is built to the same standards as conventional subwoofers. Whether a consumer has an OEM or aftermarket sound system in their car, they can pair this subwoofer with their system to achieve optimal low-end bass performance, pouring the richness back into the music.”
